Petrosian's Winning Games
Compiled by wilfredo munoz
--*--

It is interesting to see Nimzowitsch's chess principles as it evolved in his pupil. No doubt, those who wish to improve their game would definitely include his games among their list. The first game features Petrosian as he initiates an aggressive line with a Knight sacrifice. The second features an endgame technique by Gligoric after 36 Nxb5, making possible the deployment of Black's Rooks along the second rank. But he failed to utilize the zwugzwang to his favor when he played 42 Rab2 instead of Rac2 as pointed out by <HOTDOG> under priority 1 of Kibitzer's Corner.
