In Prussia the Vereinsthaler was the standard currency, divided into 30 Silbergroschen, each of 12 Pfennig.
1½ florins = 1 Vereinsthaler. The florin was divided into 100 kreutzers.
Silbergroschen were replaced with 10 Pfennig pieces when the German Empire decimalized following unification in 1871.
Useful conversions:
£1 = 20s. = 240d.
2s. = 1 florin
1 Guinea (1g.) = £1 1s. = 21s. = 252d.
1 Crown = 5s.
