Introduction
A match has been commenced at the Brooklyn C. C., between A. E. Swaffield and F. J. Marshall. Five games up. Mr. Swaffield scored the first game yesterday. (1)
The score after the fifth game is 4 to 1 in Marshall's favor. (2)
Notes
Hilbert, in <Young Marshall> gives the final score as a 5-2 win for Marshall. I'm not sure if a draw or two could have occurred after game five and something specific stating that only seven games were played is desired.
