Twenty-seven antagonists came forward, and all were defeated... Those who faced the champion included Messrs John Russell, A. B. Law, J. Gilchrist, J. Crum, W. Tait, J. R. Longwill, A. J. Nelson, G. A. Thomson, and J. Court.
