This evening, at 7 o'clock, the New Orleans Chess Club will meet for reorganization, in a commodious an well furnished apartment, which has been secured for the use of the club, over Krost's saloon. We understand that the game of whist will hereafter be permitted, as a fit accompaniment to chess, and players of both those silent and scientific games are invited to enroll themselves as members of the club. The necessary furniture is already provided, and a tournament will be arranged immediately after the organization shall have been completed. The expense of membership will amount only to the trifling sum of seventy-five cents per month. Chess is an excellent summer game, and the New Orleans Chess Club is about to be revived under the promising auspices.
