Chess Club.—The subscribers to the fund for the inaugurating a Chess Club are expected and invited to assemble this (Tuesday) evening at the office of A. Hero, Esq., notary public, 29 Commercial Place, at half-past 6, to hear the report of the Committee of Arrangements and to take such other action as may be deemed expedient. Funds have already been subscribed sufficient to warrant the opening of suitable rooms. As we are informed, the intention is to establish the club on an economical programme, the monthly rates being extremely moderate.
