Introduction
The prize for the C Tournament is a valuable Games Compendium presented by Messrs W. and J. J. Hawcridge, Bradford. (1)
Tournament for 3rd Class Players of Yorkshire.—First Prize will be presented by Messrs. W. & J. J. Hawcridge, Bradford. (2)
Yorkshire Tournament for Third-Class Players. The following are the results of the games played in this competition:—
First Round.—Bottomley beat Pearce, Grayburn beat Cadman, Cohen beat Adamson, Wilmot beat Fattorini, Hameyer (sic) beat Foster, Johnson beat Dodd. (3)
The results arrived at in this competition on Saturday were as follow:—Second round—Cohen beat Johnson; Bottomley beat Miller; Hameyer (sic) beat Wilmot; Grayburn a bye. Third round—Hameyer beat Cohen; Bottomley and Grayburn to play, the winner to play Hameyer. (4)
Third Class Yorkshire Players' Tournament.—Second Round.—Cohen beat Johnson; Bottomley beat Muller (sic); Hamayer beat Wilmot; Grayburn a bye. Third Round.—Hamayer beat Cohen; Bottomley and Grayburn undecided. (5)
Final Round.—Grayburn beat Hamayer. (6)
Conclusion
The tournament for third-class players of Yorkshire was won by Mr. E. Grayburn, of Halifax; the second prize falling to Mr. Hamayer, Bradford. (7)
