The Leningrad dutch, in a sense, is the older brother of the King's indian. Hoping to save a move by going f5 before playing Nf6, black by doing so loses a bit of flexibility weakens his position. This imbalance makes up for many exciting games, where white will usually be blown off the board if he doesn't attempt to exploit black's weaknesses.
