Oct-29-04  k3nni: what the crap? why does black win? It's white's move there are still many possibilities. Did white have a heart attack? that would explain it.

  beatgiant: <why does black win?>

What do you see for White here?

Black is threatening 34...♕a1+ with a back-rank mate. If White tries to defend by 34. ♖xa8 ♖xa8 35. g3 , then ♖a1+ 36. ♔g2 ♘e1+ with a quick mate. Or if 34. g3 ♖xa2 35. ♕xa2 ♕xb5 36. ♘xf8 ♕xc6 , and Black's a piece up, still threatening the back rank ( ...♕c1+ ), and White's knight is almost trapped.

  beatgiant: Also, if 34. ♗a4, b5 wins another piece because if 35. ♗xb5 ♕a1+ or 35. ♕xb5 ♕xb5 36. ♗xb5 ♖xa2 or 35. ♕b3 ♖xa4 again threatening ...♕a1+ .
Apr-04-08  Knight13: 30. Nxd4? is self-destruction. There aren't saving moves, but this move makes white go down in flames.
Nov-21-12  TheFocus: The final moves of this game were: 34.g3 Rxa2 35.Qxa2 Qxb5 36.Nxf8 Qxc6 37.Qf7 Qc1+ 38.Kg2 Ne1+ 39.Kh3 Qh6+ 40.Kg4 Qg5+ 41.Kh3 Qf5+ and mate next move.
Sep-01-14  tranquilsimplicity: <K3nni> White's only move (forced move) is 42.g4 preventing the check from the Black Queen. And then of course 42...Qf3#.
Sep-14-19  Chesgambit: 27. b6
