Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-10-05  Bobsterman3000: Wow. Garry uses the king as a weapon in this one, even sacrificing a few pawns along the way so that he can advance his king up the board. Garry's my favorite but there's got to be a missed win for white in here somewhere, although I can't find it...
Dec-10-05  aw1988: No win. Because there are no queens.
Apr-20-06  HamasHamas: 38 Kc2 obviously draws.

After 38 Rf5 (also playable) Rg2
39 b4?? is suicidal, allowing
Black's King in, when White's is
pinned down. Not moving the b-pawn
will still hold for White.

Nov-25-19  MrJafari: And White suddenly resigned!
Nov-25-19  areknames: <38 Kc2 obviously draws.> It's not that obvious but yes, after 38...Bxf3 39.Bxf3 Txf3 40.Txb7 g4 41.Txa7 g3 it looks like a draw, White will have to give up the R but Black's K is too far away from the pawns.
Nov-25-19  Retireborn: Pretty sure this was Naum Kagan, not Shimon. This Sokolsky mem was not an international.
Jun-05-23  rwbean: White must have had some pretty straightforward draws on moves 37, 38 and 39. Time trouble?
