Chessical: This is the end - for Gotthilf

25.Qc3 de 26.Re1 Nd4 27.bc Qc6 28.Rc1 Nf3 29.Kg2 Ne1 30.Kh2 Qg2

25. ed Nd4 26.bc Qf3

Nov-23-03  technical draw: Gotthilf anyone playing against Capa.
Nov-23-03  Calli: Heh, tech draw is translating the German name. Gotthilf is "Godhelp" in english.
Dec-12-03  Lawrence: In both the 25.Qc3 dxe2 and 25.exd3 Nd4 lines Junior 8 shows an advantage of over 5 pawnsworth for Black.

Little know-it-all Junior says that 17.....a5 was not necessary, Qb7 would have been even better.

Oct-28-11  Eduardo Leon: Gott, hilf Gotthilf!

plang: 5..c5 is rarely played any more due to 6 d5. After 6 dxc Black is close to equality already. 10 Nd2, 12 Qa4 and 13 Nb3 lost time achieving simplifying exchanges but at much too great a cost allowing Black to develop a powerful center.

Honza Cervenka: 24.b4 was a howler. White was worse anyway but after 24.Qb1 or 24.Qc1 he could stay in the game for a while. 24...d3! attacking the Queen and freeing d4 for the Knight finishes the game. 25.exd3 Nd4 26.Qc1 Nf3+ 27.Kg2 Ne1++ 28.Kf1 Nxd3 is hopeless for white.
