Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-29-04  Whitehat1963: Why is this over?
Jul-29-04  crafty: 23. ... gxf5 24. exf5 ♖f6 25. ♕d5+ ♖f7 26. f6   (eval 3.15; depth 13 ply; 500M nodes)
Nov-07-07  hesyrett: Carton missed the point of Rogers' odd-looking 22 ♖d1, as did I.  He needed to anchor his apparently secure ♘ by 22...c5!, meeting one unorthodox move with another, and planning to undermine White's e4 ♙ by ...b5-b4 later on.
Feb-27-08  Pictura: Like Whitehat1963 I cannot understand what the problem is ... 23...Rf6 then? If 24.fxg then ...Rxg6 (25.Qd5+ does not win N - ...Ne6.

What am I missing? Why did black resign??

Feb-27-08  Shams: 23...Rf6 24.Bg5 Rf7 25.f6 looks like trouble for black
