Honza Cervenka: 27.Rg1 was a mistake allowing 27...h4 followed by intrusion of black Rook, which quickly decided the game in favour of very young Spassky.
Mar-29-15  A.T PhoneHome: Whenever I think of Spassky as a kid, playing chess, I see the same most unworried of person as when he became adult. Not reacting nervously like young boys normally would. That's the vibe I get.

Boris Spassky as an adult has the funniest smile I know, as if he was bored and it's funny because he is tactical master. You don't sense anything edgy in that man.

plang: After playing the quiet 5 cxd did White ever "earn" the right to play for a kingside attack?

Anyway. he never had a serious attack and with the weaknesses he created it was only Black who had winning chances.

Very nice refutation by Spassky.

Nov-03-17  Nerwal: After the major commitments 15. f4 and 16. g4 Furman's play is simply not energetic enough : 17. ♕e2, 19. exf6 , 20 ♗c2, 22. ♔h2, 23. ♗b3, 24. ♖f3. Both the natural 19. e4 and the strange 19. ♕h2!? (preventing fxe5 for the time being) are interesting.
