Dec-30-04  who: Not a real sac, but a nice game no less.

P.S. woof.

Oct-03-11  Karpova: Mikhail Tal: <In the sixth round came the important encounter with Spassky. It was clear that on his 'home ground' (the Championship was held in Leningrad) it was Boris who had the support of the spectators; I did not like this, and I played somewhat strangely: first limply (in the opening), then over-sharply (in the middlegame). Spassky won very 'cleanly'.>

Jul-10-14  jerseybob: 13..c5 is the limp part, 20..b5 the over-sharp. At this point in their careers, Boris seemed to be on a faster track to the world title. Why that didn't happen..?
Nov-16-14  Zonszein: If I'm correct, only Spassky finished first in a Soviet Championship at the age of 19 (eventhough he didn't play well in the matches against Taimanov and Averbach afterwards) which is amazing
May-04-16  ColdSong: Tal does not offer a model of King's Indian handling here.

By Tal's own confession that is obvious. But he has far too many great ones to be concerned about a "bad day".
