Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-04-09  Olavi: chessgames, this must be Tilburg 1979
Oct-04-09  nescio: <Olavi> That's right, but <suenteus po 147> has already included this game in his Game Collection: Tilburg Interpolis 1979 so you can safely assume that he submitted a correection. Nevertheless there is no harm in filling out the correction form yourself.
Aug-18-13  csmath: No correction as I see.

Anyway, strange that Kasparov has not included this game in his book but left the period between 1974 and 1981 empty.

This is slow-burning brushfire attack.
Spassky misses fantastic blow:

21. Bxg5!! [like a bolt of lightning] fxg5
22. f6

and now there is no defence of either losing bishop or allowing f7 and Re1 ->Re8.

But Spassky is still winning albeit a little slower.

Robert Huebner was on the receiving end of some great beating by world champions.

This of course is engine find. Would Tal see that?
