  Chessical: The pawn on <d6> is a bone in Cuellar's throat.

It seems that Cuellar should have taken the <Bb2> when he could (moves 16-19), e.g:

16...Bxb2 17.Qxb2 Re8 18.d6 Nf6 19.Rfe1 Rxe1+ 20.Nxe1 Bxg2 21.Kxg2 Qd7 =

As played,Cuellar loses the <b5> pawn and cannot conveniently win the dangerous <d6> pawn back in return.

Smejkal's powerful positional play creates a very nicely controlled game.
