Kibitzer's Corner
May-31-08  Marmot PFL: 54.g4 definitely loses, but maybe Nimzo could defend with 54.Kg2 and Bg1 and prevent black from breaking through. Which doesn't change the fact that Reti outplayed him in the opening and midgame.
Jul-24-11  companys: <Marmot PFL> Reti says white is lost anyway and black should win by bringing his king to g4 and doing the f4 breakthrough when white is unable to capture on f4 with his rook. Black then penetrates with one of his rooks via h2 or h3.
Jul-24-11  leroquentin: seems nimzowitsch's system has failure again. o.O
Jan-12-25  Albion 1959: Reti's only win against Nimzowitsch in eleven games !!

marcusantoinerome: Nimzowitsch seemed to play very listlessly in the early middlegame, making lots of pawn moves that didn't really improve his position.

See Larsen vs C Hansen, 1988 for another example of where 5. Be2 ends up losing.
