Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-17-06  Mating Net: This is just plain cruel. 17.Nd5? looks like it ought to be a strong move. The stallion settles on an important central square & simultaneously unleashes a discovered attack on the Black Queen.

Black probably thought his back rank was secure with both Rooks connected & the Queen on e2. Not the case as 18.Rxd5? loses to 18...Rxc1 with mate to follow.

Jul-17-07  syracrophy: <Mating Net> It's not mate. White will return the queen after 18.♖xd5 ♖xc1+ 19.♕f1 ♖xf1+ 20.♔xf1, but black's a piece up
Jul-17-07  Defrogger: <syracrophy> After 20. Kxf1, Black plays 20...Rxd5 causing Rook and Piece advantage
