Aug-12-04  Saruman: Good game indeed by Kasparov, although black clearly underestimates 19.Bxg7.
Aug-12-04  karelen: solid game from young kasparov
Jan-19-05  chess man: Yes. A nice game.
Mar-12-05  Orbitkind: Wouldn't have 31...Bc8 for example have been perfectly ok for black? It looks like black just blundered at the end.
Jun-01-05  woodenbishop: The kid is a natural.
Jul-31-05  blingice: Fantastic use of pins by Kasparov. I wish I was that good when I was 10...

offramp: I can only see one pin...

This seems to have been an under-18 tournament; so 10-year-old Garry was well out of his age-group.

Aug-11-05  blingice: Kasparov pins the pawn on move 18, and after black's 19th move, the bishop is pinned. He then uses that pin to take the knight, gaining him a pawn.
Aug-17-05  sharpnova: i have a feeling this kid is going to be somebody.
Aug-19-05  Justin Lemoine: Prodigy Kasparov is
Dec-01-05  Chopin: Kasparov was unbelievable at the age of 10.

JointheArmy: <Akuni> He's been in and out of Russian prison and I heard he was trying lead some type of revolt against the Russian government. Shame, he had real potential in the chess world.
Apr-19-09  WhiteRook48: this is Kasparov's first game played in this database
