Kibitzer's Corner
May-07-06  Ponziani: This game took place on the 5th of june 1985. It was a simultaneous game of Garri Kasparow against 30 players, among them WGM Barbara Hund, Egon Bahr and Klaus von Dohnany (both german politicians), Johannes Gross (editor of the german magazine "Capital") and, of course, Felix Magath.
May-07-06  madlydeeply: thats great sticking the rook on f2 protecting both e2 and h2.
May-07-06  Nezhmetdinov: Is Magath that German football manager?
May-07-06  madlydeeply: I suppose with no minors except dark squared bishops, holes (e3,h3) aren't as important positional considerations as targets. (e2,h2).
May-09-14  Alien Math: Interview with Felix Magath about this game http://bongdaplus.vn/tin-bai/79/902... notes in Việt
Sep-23-14  Nightsurfer: There is a feature in the <TELEGRAPH> that discusses this game here <Garry Kasparov vs Felix Magath (1985)> in the context of <Felix Magath>'s excursion to Fulham in 2014 in order to save that club from descent from the 1st division: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo... ; and the author of the <DAILY MAIL> discusses that game as well: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo... ... but all that chess talk has turned out to be without real relevance since <Felix Magath>'s mission at Fulham has turned out to having been doomed ... from the beginning, more or less ... :-( ... ;-) ...!
Jul-19-15  tivrfoa: puzzle 31 white to play and win
