Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-18-05  organist: This game is analyzed in some detail in Reinfeld's "The Way to Better Chess" pp 106-7.
Jan-16-12  King Death: It must have been a shock for Black to pick up his mail the day he got the postcard with 11.Nc3. Russell notes that 11...Bc3+ 12.bc Qc3+ 13.Bd2 Qa1+ 14.Ke2 Qh1 15.Qc8+ mates and that 14...Qd4 15.Qc8+ Qd8 16.Qb7 is winning. In the line after 14...Qd4 I'll add that 15.Qc8+ Ke7 16.Rc1! leaves Black all tied up in spite of his advantage in material.
