May-24-08  lost in space: Another game of Junge were he played the Botwinnik variation already in the early 1940's. Junge equlized the game quickly and got slight advantage. At move 21 Junge made a serious mistake, which was not seen by Ullrich:

Junge played 21...♗g5 which allows 22. ♖xc3 with significant advantage for White. Better was 21..♖b2 22. ♕f3 ♕d6 with slight advantage for Black.

May-24-08  MichAdams: Not so fast. 22.Rxc3 Qa5 23.Qd4 Rh4 24.d6+ Kd8 25.Qc5 Rb1+ 26.Ke2 Rb2+ 27.Kf3 Qxc5 28.Rxc5 Rf4+ 29.Kg3 f5 peters out to a draw.
May-25-08  lost in space: <Mich Adams> you are right, good anylyse. I missed completely 22...Qa5, eventhough it is so obvious.
