Domdaniel: Highly entertaining, and never mind the soundness. Black's attack had some bite, though was maybe a tad over-optimistic.

I used to play the 'old' Lisitsin Gambit (1.Nf3 f5 2.e4) as White, and the Classical Dutch (1.d4 e6 2.Nf3 f5) as Black. But last time I switched to 2.d3 - the Neo-Lisitsin - and won, despite its similarity to a dreaded e4-e5 opening.

Sep-29-18  mrlager: Agree that some would find this entertaining, especially white, given the funky nature of the game and that he was in what looks like cruise control the whole time. Maybe the comps say something different, maybe they don’t.

It’s curious that the youngish Michael J R White never added anything in response to these comments. I can understand why the black player would feel no need to say anything further on them!

Maybe MJRW was just waiting to see if this picked up any other interest. He doesn’t usually play Nf3 d3, does he?
