Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-17-09  Starf1re: Time troubles? Downloaded the game to see what I was missing, Rybka evaluates the position as 0.00 at 19 ply.
Nov-17-09  waustad: This one is posted twice and is still not complete, it seems.
Nov-17-09  chillowack: Perhaps Kramnik ran out of time here?

I believe White has an advantage after 24.Rd6, but against Kramnik it would be very challenging to convert.

Nov-18-09  karik: I watched the video feed and the game continued long after move 23. Unfortunately the feed was moved to some other game.
Nov-20-09  karik: Here is a more complete score, carefully compiled from http://video.russiachess.org/#sessi....

After a blunder 26. -Nd4 it looked an easy win for Carlsen but probably both players missed a few possible saves.

its incremental. Here is the FIDE ruling:

5. Time Control

5.1 In the Blitz Championship, each player will have 3 minutes + 2 seconds additional time per move, starting from move 1.

5.2 In the Rapid Championship, each player will have 15 minutes + 10 seconds additional time per move, starting from move 1.

So, Kramnik made 39 moves (78 seconds added) plus 3 min, for a total of 4 minutes 18 seconds.

Feb-11-18  SChesshevsky: Kramnik's always interesting. Looks like he went for a serious Scandinavian experiment in this tournament.

Not sure it worked out though. 7 losses, 4 wins, 3 draws with 1.e4 d5.
