Jun-29-10  SufferingBruin: If I were to guess, 29)d5 was an attempt to get the bishop more active, perhaps even provoke a later trade for white's more active knight.

Any other ideas?

Nisipeanu vs Radjabov, 2010 30 Nb5-d6! based on 31 Qe3xe5+, 32 Qe5xRd6

offramp: Whenever I hear the name Nisipeaunu I think of Issi Noho.
Jul-05-13  geniokov: If White plays 30.Nd6,instead of 30..Red8,i will play 30..Re7! 31.Qxe5+ Rg7!(creating a counterattack at g3 pawn!)Bishop is immune of 32.Qxe6 because of 32..Qxg3+!That Radjabov´s<30..Red8> is somewhat a passive move for me!Although the table is in White´s turn! He has many good moves here.
Jul-05-13  geniokov: Either 30.Nd6 or 30.Qxe5 is good for White! With this move,it will really consume your time thinking "Which comes first?" A cluster of variations will give interest even for patzers!
Jul-05-13  agb2002: White has a knight for a bishop.

White can take advantage of the weak spot e5 to find a better position for the knight with 30.Nd6:

A) 30... Rxd6 31.Qxe5+ Qg7 32.Qxd6 Rg8 33.Rg2 + - [R+P vs B].

B) 30... Ree7 31.Qxe5+ Rg7 32.Rg2 followed by cxd5 + - [N+2P vs B].

C) 30... Rg8 31.Qxe5+

C.1) 31... Rdg7 32.Rg2 Qg6 (32... Bd7(f7) 33.Nf7#) 33.cxd5 + - [N+2P vs B].

C.2) 31... Rgg7 32.Rg2 Re7 33.cxd5 + - [N+2P vs B].

C.3) 31... Qg7 32.cxd5 Rxd6 33.dxe6 (33.Qxd6 Qxg3+ 34.Kh1 Qg1#) 33... Rxe6 34.Qxg7+ Rxg7 35.Rd5 wins a second pawn and should win the endgame.

Jul-05-13  M.Hassan: "Difficult"
White to play 30.?
Equal materials.

30.Nd6!
<if...Rxd6 31.Qxe5+ and picks up the Rook next>

30..............Rg8
31.Qxe5+ Qg7
32.cxd5 Rxd6
<Hoping that 33.Qxd6 and free Black Queen from the pin and if it is freed, White will be mate by: 33....Qxg3+ 34.Kh1 Qg1#>

33.dxe6 Rxe6
34.Qxg7 Kxg7
35.Rd5
And another Black pawn will fall. White should win the game. Time to check

Jul-05-13  geniokov: <agb2002:B) 30... Ree7 31.Qxe5+ Rg7 32.Rg2 followed by cxd5 + - [N+2P vs B].> Hi! This line caught my interest if Black can create a possible counterattack? After 32.Rg2 Bf8 33.cxd5 Rde7 taking the e-file from White,followed by Re3 or Re1? Any ideas?
Jul-05-13  geniokov: I knew that Black is lost but my point is if he can still give a fighting game till the last breath!
Jul-05-13  Steve.Patzer: I do not see why 34. ...Rf8 was not played.
Jul-05-13  geniokov: Another move that caught my interest is the paradoxical response like <30.Nd6 exf4!?>
Jul-05-13  geniokov: Or probably <30.Nd6 d4!?>
Jul-05-13  geniokov: It doesn´t mean that someone should "react" when he was under treat by a move <30.Nd6> Sometimes we have to response and answer things by throwing back like "counter-react?" Giving an opponent a question to choose things by himself!Any attempt by White such as <Qe5+> will be covered by a move like Rg7,still having a tempo to attack his opponent!
Jul-05-13  whiteshark: Missed 30.Nd6 completely. Chess blind flight...
Jul-05-13  TomOhio: Every once in a while, I run into one of these in which I have absolutely no idea what is going on. That would be this one.

  Sastre: 32.Qxe6 Rxd6 33.Rxd5 Rxe6 34.Rxd8+ Qg8 35.Rxg8+ was also possible.
Jul-05-13  TimothyLucasJaeger: I found 30 ♘d6, planning

a) 30 ... ♖ed8 31 ♕xe5+ ♕g7 32 ♕xe6 ♖xd6 33 ♕xf5, which while not as pretty as Nisipeanu's 32 c5 creating the dominant knight vs bishop, should be enough for the win i think

but

b) 30 ... ♖ee7 i went wrong with 31 ♘c8, thinking rook moves could be met with 32 ♘b6 followed by ♕xe5+ and cxd5, however black has 32 ... d4 so doesn't work

chrisowen: Lifta delved glue e5 or can horse d6 compounded in,

accordance rook advansage rabba choo.

Pinto b5 angle info ok.

Tangled off in knight ke epi centre e6 bishop d6,

pen bin feed evermore in be frees ah.

Jul-05-13  kevin86: I checked with the queen first before I moved knight to d6. The outpost is strong!
Jul-05-13  Ratt Boy: I want to know chrisowen's supplier. Does he deliver?
Jul-05-13  Nick46: chris own lingo greek to me
Jul-05-13  PaulBl: I suddenly have no board, on my iPad Mini. Any idea?
Jul-05-13  Marmot PFL: 30 Qxe5+ looks good enough too. Black's position is terrible.
Jul-05-13  newzild: <Marmot PFL> I almost went for 30. Qxe5+ myself, but then I spotted the following:

30. Qxe5+ Rg7

(Threatening 31...Qxg3+)

31. Rd3

31...Bd7!

32. Qxd5 Re2

And Black's counterplay is dangerous.

Black could also try 31. Rg2 instead of 31. Rd3, but then Black later has 32...Re3.
