Oct-11-14  Karpova: <This is Mr. Richhelm's first published game. It appeared in the 'Evening Bulletin' of 1860. His adversary is Mr. (afterwards General) William Dwight, who played a match with Mr. Leonard in 1861, and who afterwards lived in Cincinnati, Ohio. We didn't feel particularly proud of this game being in print. Perhaps the reason was we lost it.>

10...e4: <Oh my, oh my, where was von der Lasa's Handbuch now? We were stuck on the Handbuch in those days.>

14...Nh5 is called the winning move. But 15.Ng6 looks like the losing mistake. He should have tried 15.Ng2 instead.

16...Bxh2+ looks strong. White goes astray immediately afterwards, when he may have put up more resistance with 17.Rf5.
