Dec-16-17  Jamboree: What?? The score seems to end abruptly. Surely that's not the end of the game.

But I also don't understand Navara's 16. d4?? followed by the opponent's equally bad 16. ... Bd6?? Why not instead the obvious 16. ... Bxd4!, after which 17. Bxd4 Qxd4 18. exd4 Rxe2 and black is a pawn up with a better position. Black could have won and beaten someone rated 900 points higher!

Have you looked at 16...Bxd4 <17. Rd1>? Then 17...c5 18. Q moves and now it's Black who is pinned. What say you?
