  fredthebear: At my age, I'd probably take the first queen exchange offer by White with 21...QxQe1+ 22.RxQe1 Ra6, etc. This queenless endgame seems easier to play for Black than the middlegame that transpired. Of course, watching Chigorin's actual play with the sparring queens and shifting rooks is more interesting.

Whether or not to play 12...Kd8 seems to be the real question.
