... he should have played simply ...Ng8-e7-c6. Instead he played ...f6; in fact he never managed to castle in this game.

But in any case Williams totally outplays Mucklow. Has any long diagonal ever looked weaker than white's a8-h1 diagonal after 26...Qc6+ ?
