Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-13-15  shallowred: Amateur Annotations (followed by lessons learned from the Masters in parenthesis):

12. Bb3 Patzer sees a check... (Now the Bishop carves into more of Black's forces)

13. d5?! Blocks the Bishop (Displaces the Knight and sets up another pawn-push, gaining space along with a short initiative)

14. e5?! Allows NxB which is good for Black since he is low on space (The White Queen on b3 would be strong as it would have the 3rd rank to maneuver from one side of the board to the other)

15. Nc3?! Take the c6 pawn now! Give your Bishop more scope! Also; why let Black take a center pawn? (White will create a strong Bishop on d5, force the trade of white-squared-bishops, and then the White Queen will have a strong post on b3 as described above)

19...dxe5?! Gives White a passed pawn (Allows a sequence of forcing moves that enables Black to trade some pieces; and forms a King-Side majority)

26. Bd2?! Blocks the Rook on d1 (Shifts the Bishop to a more active a4-e1 diagonal)

32. exd6?! Take with the Bishop! Bury that minor piece deep into enemy territory. (Taking with the pawn opens the long-diagonal [instantly; the Black King seems less safe] and advances the pawn)

42. Re5?! This Rook-Lift does not threaten anything. (Taking away the long diagonal from the Black Queen; also the Rook is one-diagonal-away from the Knight)

48...Kf7 I never get Master-Draws (Amateurs never get Master-Draws)
