Mar-04-06  Fast Gun: The final game that these two legends of the chess world ever played against each other, what a pity it was such a tame draw!!:
Jan-02-08  paladin at large: <Fast Gun> Yes, Alekhine's smug commentary indicates he was rather pleased with a draw. No signs of fight here from AA in the toughest tournament of his career. This was the last tournament for the 68 year old Lasker. As it turned out, AA (6th) barely edged out Lasker and Flohr (7th/8th) by half a point in the final standings.

Fine vs J Van Den Bosch, 1936

Jan-18-10  AnalyzeThis: I'm sure that Lasker went into this game thinking that a draw was ok.
Jul-18-16  Albion 1959: This was the last game that these two ex-world champions played together. Hardly an eventful game when you consider the illustrious careers they had. Only one of their eight encounters went beyond 36 moves. It is hard to believe that they only played each other eight times over a 24 year period ! When you consider that today's players can easily play each other more than 50 to 100 times !
