Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-11-05  lopium: I don't really understand 18.Nxc6, but here I guess that if black take the N with the Bishop or Rook his game will be lost. If he didn't take, as in this game, he is lost. So it's maybe the winner move.... Sunday puzzle.
Nov-11-05  aw1988: I too am finding a difficult time searching for justification of Nxc6.
Nov-11-05  BadTemper: Nxc6 Bxc6
RxB and white has won a pawn
Nov-11-05  LostIchi: 18.Nxc6 Rxc6 19.Rxc6 Bxc6 20.Qxe4 ...
or 18.Nxc6 Bxc6 19.Rxc6 Rxc6 20.Qxe4 dxe4 21.Rxd8 and the bishop on f8 is lost as Ba3 is coming.
Nov-11-05  BadTemper: Nxc6 Rxc6??
RxQ and now white has the pawn and the exchange.
Mar-28-14  thomastonk: I've added the month the game was played, but does anybody know the 'Allies'?
Mar-28-14  RedShield: I know. If you also want to know, Skinner & Verhoeven give the opponents as Deutsch, Ebelheim and Schroeder. Date 3rd January.
Dec-09-20  mifralu: Probably Albert Edelheim
