Mar-05-08  whiteshark: This must be a simultan game.

Remember Alekhine phenomenal win in Bled 1931.He was doubtlessly on the zenith/peak of his chess career/craft.

Mar-05-08  ughaibu: He was soused to the gills. CALLI!!
Mar-05-08  Calli: A Simul - 36 boards at the Belgrade Chess Club. AA scored about 25 or 26 wins with 6 or 7 draws and 3 or 4 losses. the reports vary. 3 or 4 losses against strong opposition is a pretty standard simul result. Tomovic obviously knew what he was doing.
Mar-06-08  whiteshark: Wow <Calli>, you see me open-mouthed, again! :D
Oct-17-15  TheFocus: From a simultaneous exhibition in Belgrade, Yugoslavia at the Belgrade Chess Club on January 18, 1931.

Alekhine score has been given as both +25=6-4 and +26=7-3.

See <Sahovski Glasnik 1931>, pg. 154-155.

offramp: From previous kibitzing I have gleaned some valuable information about this game:

1) This may have been a simultan (Alekhine vs V Tomovic, 1931 (kibitz #1)).
2) Alexander Alekhine was so drunk that he could not speak (User: ughaibu).
3) Alexander Alekhine scored about "25 or 26 wins with 6 or 7 draws and 3 or 4 losses against strong opposition, a pretty standard simul result". (Alekhine vs V Tomovic, 1931 (kibitz #3)).

The rest of the kibitzing is a bit garbled.
