Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-05-09  Poulsen: Chessgames.com - this game was won by Bjorn Nielsen
Dec-26-09  Antiochus: Bjorn Nielsen presumely
Sep-02-12  whiteshark: The only Dane, that ever won a game against the Great Al. Al.
Oct-04-12  sfm: A fine game. White seeks initiative in the centre, but black fights it off and the White´s weaknesses become unsurvivable.

I like 62.-,Qd8+!, after which most people would have resigned. But not Aljechine. I have much more respect for people who resign much too late that those resigning a bit too early. The will to fight is a hallmark of almost all the greatest players in history.

profK: White had the better of it but alas you gotta win them. Black kept hanging in there. We don't see enough of the Worrall.
Oct-04-15  The Kings Domain: Another example of a game that starts out nondescript but picks up in the end. Nice win by Nielsen.
Feb-07-22  jerseybob: <profK: White had the better of it but alas you gotta win them. Black kept hanging in there. We don't see enough of the Worrall.>After 31..Bf6 I don't see a big edge for white. If 32.Qa5,Bd8 holds. There may be some play with 32.Ne3, but white's impatient 32.f4!? only benefits black. White may have overlooked 34..Nd7!, a real master move. This game shows how solid the black side of a Lopez can be.
