Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-08-06  Bobak Zahmat: Black's Rooks are not connected like it should be.
Oct-12-06  crwynn: In Vishy Anand's best games collection, there is an interesting hole in his analysis of this game, although it's not very important - he was probably already winning by this point:

"27 e5!

The point of Black's previous move [26...Bd7] is to set up latent threats along the c8-h3 diagonal; for example 27 Rf3 e5 28 Nf5 g6 29 Rh3 h5! refutes the attack. The text-move effectively counters this plan."

In fact, Fritz showed me awhile ago that in the final position of that line, White plays (as I recall; I don't have access to an engine now) 30.Bf3!! and one way or another, White will sacrifice a piece to break through on the h-file with a completely winning position. Vishy's way is probably better, though, and certainly less hair-raising.

Aug-10-08  Udit Narayan: Anand's knight movements are admirable.
Feb-04-13  Whitehat1963: Wednesday/Thursday puzzle after 33...h6.
Feb-07-13  Whitehat1963: Perhaps instead: Wednesday/Thursday after 35...Bxg7 and Friday/Saturday after 33...h6.
