Sneaky: Some players love the Scandinavian Defense so much, they even play it with the White pieces.
May-04-03  morphynoman2: I like your comment, Sneaky. Jeje
Jun-20-03  BrownRecluse: In my experience there is no limit to the perversity of Scandinavian players.

Jun-21-03  BrownRecluse: So do I; I've played it since about 1979.

paulalbert: Just curious. What do you play if black answers d5 which is probably how I would respond to d3. Not d4 letting black play Queen's Gambit in reverse I suspect. Maybe Nf3? But you certainly are forced out of a Scandinavian style opening.
Jun-21-03  BrownRecluse: I probably would not have tried to get into a reverse Skandi by that route. 1.e4,e5 2.d4,ed 3.Qxd4,Nc6 and either 4.Qa4 or 4.Qd3 would be my choice, by way of the center game.
Jul-09-05  kingpretender1: why don't I have the luck of meeting someone to play this with white vs. me?
Jun-25-06  sixfeetunder: Blame Caissa for that.
Aug-30-08  ravel5184: <kingpretender1> I'll be happy to play White against you starting from the moves 1. d3 e5 2. d4.
