Is a source available?

...

Mar-05-24  stone free or die: Yes, but it took a little sleuthing...

A google search on <Blackburne Fenton 1873> finds Mordecai Morgan's <Chess Digest>.

https://books.google.com/books?id=f...

Morgan is nice enough to list his source for an opening line - the 1873 line coming from <DSZ (1873)>. A link to that can be found at Chess Archaeology, or after I fix it, at Zanchess.

There is no Blackburne--Fenton listed - but Blackburne does play an Amateur in G-3384:

Viola!

(Only 29 moves given, but game seems to have continued)
