Jul-17-04  mynameisrandy: Aw. White had such a cool queen sac, I'm sad to see he lost.
Sep-17-04  morphynoman2: Was white really lost after the queen sac? Meanwhile, a nice game.

Chessical: After a superb Q-sacrifice, Blackburne takes the wrong turn with 21.Bc5?

<21.Bb7+!> wins exploiting the lack of squares for the White Q:

21...Kb8 22.Bb2! Qc4 23.Ba6+ Ka8 24.Bxf6 gxf6 25.Bb7+ Kb8 26.Bc6+ Kc8 27.Bd7+ Kd8 28.Bxe6+

Sep-19-04  f1list: I still think he could have done better in the endgame, after all the turmoil. white's 37th move seems hasty ... why not a4 right away?

Chessical: <f1list> After so unfortunately missing in the heat of battle the key-move to his sound Q-sacrifice, Blackburn was always on the ropes in this game.

<37.a4> Ra2 38.Kf1 c5, simply seems to put off resignation for a few more moves e.g. 39.Rb7 c4 40.Rd7+ Ke4 41.Rxf7 c3 42.Re7+ Kd3 43.Rd7+ Kc4 44.Rc7+ Kb3

May-24-16  Fanacas: F1List we cannot always see but in many games some masters might have been in time problems. Thats why sometimes moves me look foolish or hasty maybe its the same what happend here.
