Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-22-04  ossolinskm: 19. Qe7+ Kh6 20. Qh4+ Kg7 21. Qg5+ Kh7 (..Kf8 22. Qf6++) (..Kh8 22. Qh6++) 22. Qh5+ Kg7 23. Qg6+ Kf8 24. Qf6++ (23..Kh8 Nf7++)

does anyone know where black lost it? i thought kg7 was an awful move. any ideas?

Jan-31-05  patzer2: Fritz 8 found the neat defensive combination 10...Kf7! , where 11. Bxh8?? actually loses after 11...Qxh8 (allowing Black to pick off another piece and win easily}. If Black doesn't fall for the 11. Bxh8?? trap, Play could continue 11.Bb2 Nf6 12.Nf3 Bd6 13.Ng5+ Kg8 –+, when Black with two extra pawns and a solid position should win.
Jul-09-11  WhiteRook48: 9 Qg4 looks like it might have worked better
Aug-24-14  Sebastian88: If 9.Qg4 then: 9... Qe7 10.Qxg7 Rf8 11.Nf3 c6 12.Bd3 f6 13.Qxe7+ Bxe7 or 13... Kxe7 And black have good chances.
Sep-15-16  luzhin: Black's last move was incomprehensible. After the obvious 18...Kf6 it's not at all clear that White is winning.
