Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-28-06  Jaymthetactician: I like this Lion system, had no idea it was THAT old! I think that 10.Rb1?! isnt the best choice, especially after 5.h3 and if your playing agaisnt someone of Blackburnes calibre you gotta not throw away valuable tempi, 11.b4?! was the idea behind the Rook move, but is very weakening especially with a pawn on d4, the a and c pawns are now backward, even if the idea was to strike at c6. 14.b6? opens the a-file for black, better was to 14.bxc6,Nxe2+ 15.Qxe2,bxc6 to isolate the pawn on c6, even though white loses the bishop pair.

24...Bxf2+ and the game got very interesting, could have tried 25.Kh1 but I still like black better after that.

Jun-30-07  vajeer: is 38. Qd3 really necessary?...i think white had better drawing chances without queen exchange
