Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-01-07  Rama: The position after 29. ... Rd5, is given as diagram 53 on pp146 of Averbach's Chess Tactics. He continues 30. Rxe6 Bxd4+, 31. Qxd4! Rxd4, 32. Rxg6+ hg, 33. Rxd4 ..., and white wins a piece.

The sequence was playable on the previous move but it didn't win anything, which makes the quiet seemingly defensive move 29 Rcd1 ..., particularly good psychologically.

Aug-11-07  wolfmaster: Szabo put up a tough fight, but was slowly outplayed.
Dec-20-10  laskereshevsky: This was the first round of the tournament.

Looks like the first encounter of GM Szabo against a Sovietic GM ( and what a one! ) was not so bad for him...

Laszlo just falled down in a Bot's trap...

Was enough to play 29... ♗h8 In place of the ♖d5 and the position is slighty better for the black ( I think...)

Mar-25-14  SeanAzarin: In "Modern Chess Strategy", Ludek Pachman pinpoints Black's 29th move as the game-losing blunder. Pachman's exact wording is: "After 29... B-KR1, or even 29... B-Q4, the position remains complicated, but in my opinion Black has the better prospects."
