Much better was 20.e6! ♗f3+ 21.♕xf3 and White's threats are unstoppable; for instance: 21...0-0-0 (trying to fly from the immediate checkmate) 22.♕xg3 (with idea of a checkmate in 'c7' anyway) 22...♕b6 23.♘d2 (with idea of ♖b1 etc). So, the lesser evil would be 21...♕f2 22.♕xf2 ♗xf2 23.♖xf2 etc, also with a decisive advantage.
