Feb-15-04  ughaibu: If black captures the knight on move 25 how does it go? 26.Qd5 Kf6 27.g4?

  Honza Cervenka: If 25...Kxf7, then 26.Qd5+ Kf6 27.Ng5 (threatening Ne4#) 27...Qf4 28.Qf7+ Kxg5 29.Rd5+ with mate in few moves. 27.g4 works probably too as 27...Bxg4 (What else against threatening g5#? If 27...g5, then 28.Qxg5+ Kf7 29.Qg6+ Kf8 30.Qg8#) 28.Qg5+ Kf7 29.Qxg4 looks pretty hopeless.
Apr-18-13  marljivi: Yes,and there is also 25...Kf7 26.Qd5Kf6 27.Qg5Kf7 28.Qh5Kf8 29.Bg6Be6 30.Re6Rd1 31.Ne1 ,also with mate in a few more moves.
