Apr-06-09  Marmot PFL: This was an interesting game until Fine started losing material for no good reason.
Mar-01-10  Shams: <Marmot PFL> 27.Bc1 keeps the material but allows ...Rf7 28.Re8+ Rf8 29.Re7 Rc8 and I would think the knight and the pawn beat the bishop.
Jun-15-13  jerseybob: 18.dxe5 doesn't work out too well. I'd suggest maintaining the center tension as long as possible, with maybe 18.Bh5,Nh5 19.Nd5

Phony Benoni: <Shams> You'll be happy to know that your line was pointed out by Reshevsky in his brief notes to the game in "American Chess Bulletin" January 1935, p.14. And I do mean brief. His only other comment was that 24.Bc1 should have been played--though that is surely the kind of move that would only appeal to a Reshevsky.

The Editor stated that Fine was under time pressure.
