Dec-01-03  Resignation Trap: Oops! Geller lost this game to the Canadian "on time". Geller ended up in a three-way tie for second with Portisch and Polugaevsky, then there was a playoff, since only two of them could advance to the Candidates Matches of 1974.

  offramp: 38...b3 might have been better. White must not then play 39.Kb4 - as Geller suggested - as this loses to 39...b2. He should play 39.Rb1.
