Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-31-07  thatsmate: Black isnt great here, but to resign? Perhaps it was forced by time.
Mar-31-07  crwynn: I think he was embarrassed at having dropped (another) pawn and figured that there was no point continuing against the great Geller. After 25.Rc7 there is a double threat of capturing the b-pawn, and playing 26.Bxf7+ Rxf7 27.Nxf7 Kxf7 28.Rdxd7+ again winning a pawn.
Feb-14-13  jerseybob: 8..e5 is a lemon, basically the losing move. Better to shorten the front first with 8..cd with a nice sound position. After 9.dxc5 the black position is white's oyster. Black's problem is his loose pawns can't keep out enemy pieces, while white's c3 is a rock against invasion.
