Feb-21-04  Egghead: This is a remarkable game. White's knight sacrifice comes like a rifle shot out of a clear sky. Black can't afford to save his rook on move 13, as 13. ... Rb8 invites a forced mate in 8: 14.Bf3+ Ng4 15.Bxg4+ Kxg4 16.Qe4+ Kh5 17.g4+ Kh4 (all forced) 18.Qg2 and Black's last moves can only delay the threatened Qg3#: 18. ... Feb-21-04  fatbaldguy: Another line might go 19 ... N:g4 (instead of K:g4), but I think 20 Rf5+ wins, e.g., ... e:f5 21 Qf5+ Bg5 22 B:g5 followed by 23 Bf6.

Sep-18-07  Jim Bartle: Looks like 7...b5 just sends the white knight where it wanted to go anyway...
Mar-30-12  Norbi506: Good stuff!
