Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-02-03  Bears092: 54. Kh2 looks like a draw...
Mar-03-03  Cyphelium: Perhaps, but white is certainly worse. What is he to play if black just continues as in the game with h5?
Mar-03-03  drunknight II: then 55 e6? maybe Bears has a pt.
Mar-03-03  Cyphelium: He does have a point. So I suggest 54.-Kf8 instead.
Mar-03-03  drunknight II: there may be drawing chances even later than move 55. It seems to me that in theory white should be attacking the K as he is behind in material. like 57 Qb7+ Kd3 58 Qe4 does that hold?
Mar-03-03  Bears092: Upon further review, Reshevsky and CM 9000 both agree with me, so I think its pretty solid.
Mar-03-03  drunknight II: but what do they say exactly? do they say that Kh2 is the only way to draw or does he have drawing chances later? after all,if he has drawing chances later then he doesnt have to take the draw right there on move 54.
Mar-04-03  Cyphelium: Ok, I rest my case. 54. Kh2 looks drawish.
