Sep-10-24  Cardinal Fang: 39. ...Bf3 is likely a typo; apart from hanging the Rook on g1, White has Qd8#. More probably Black played ...Bh6+.

Honza Cervenka: 39...Bh6+ or maybe 39...Rf2+.

Honza Cervenka: But it is also possible that white played 39.Ke2 and that 39...Bf3(+) is correct.

Honza Cervenka: After some thinking about it I would guess that 39.Ke2 Bf3+ 0-1 is what has happened in the game.

I agree. Could you let us know if you don't plan to submit a correction slip, in which case I'll be glad to.

Sep-11-24  phantasmagorium: Honza's guess (39. Ke2 Bf3+) appears to be correct, at least according to https://www.365chess.com/game.php?g... (assuming that that website is correct).

BTW, my own initial guess (which appears to be incorrect) was that 39. Kd2 Rf2+ was the last move, because in my language (Indonesian), the code for the rook is B (=benteng, literally fortress).

Thanks. And I see that the game score has been modified accordingly.
