Apr-28-08  percyblakeney: This game is from the so called tournament of the generations in Moscow 1981, where four teams participated. Kasparov scored most points of the first board players and drew also his other game against Karpov:

HeMateMe: This is the first K-K game when both are adults. Such presence for a teenager! In a drawish looking position, Kasparov find a way to shake up the board and create complications.
Mar-02-18  Allanur: Where can I find more info about this tournament? Please, help
Mar-02-18  Howard: Try Googling...."match tourmanet" and "1981" and "Moscow" and "chess".

You'll be able to pull up at least a couple of files which apparently have all the games to this event, along with background information.

Nov-07-20  fisayo123: This was Kasparov's 1st ever game vs Karpov as a very strong player. Kasparov was already most likely the 2nd best in the world as of then at 17.

In this game, he had the chance to apply some real pressure, 28. h4! A move any strong player today will make thanks to the influence of chess engines and Alpha zero. Instead , he goes for the more mundane 28. a4 and has to relinquish his advantage.
